The Movement Hub
The movement hub is an organisation built to encourage and develop a dance community across the city that provides, recognises and respects movement vocabulary from all styles while primarily looking to offer quality dance education to its members.
We would like to think of Mumbai being our ‘hub’ and everyone and anyone who wishes to, can be a part of the movement hub, whether its through performance art, dance education, community classes, corporates or other experimental collaborations.
Our movement facilitators come from various backgrounds of movement such as Jazz funk, Street Jazz, Urban, Hip-Hop, Modern technique, Contemporary, Body Mind Centering, Ballet, Bollywood and Breaking and are all well recognised in their respective art forms.
We look to provide a safe environment through which an individual can grow in which ever form they like to and learn its essence, while also being true to their own natural element. Basically, the hub looks to develop a self sustaining dance community that provides anything and everything related to movement through and in which the dance community in India can grow and flourish in a positive yet fulfilling manner.

“Movement to me is present in everyone. We just differ in the range, capacity and ability which can be developed over time. Every response in our body, even breathing is a movement and through my classes I would love to develop a space where people can come and explore that side of themselves while also growing in the range, ability and capacity in due time. “
